Volunteer
Adults
Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site is privileged to have a large diversity of volunteers who assist with the daily summer programming and special events. Historical Interpreter Docents bring history to life by dressing in period-appropriate clothing and demonstrate everyday life.
For adults that prefer the modern-clothing option, there are many opportunities available during special events; gardeners contribute on their own schedule; seamstresses repair historic clothing behind the scenes. There are many opportunities available!
Click here to apply for the Adult Historical Interpreter Docent or Volunteer opportunities. Applications for Adult Volunteers (modern-clothing) are accepted all year. The required training for historic interpreters is offered only in May. Please specify your interest in your application.
The Rock Ledge Ranch Living History Association is a volunteer support group for the Ranch. There are many Board positions available.
All volunteers must be registered. Adult Docents and Volunteers are required to complete a background check before contributing their time at the Ranch
Youth
The Junior Docent Program is volunteer opportunities for youth 10 – 17. Parents and families are very involved with the program, and participate by volunteering for special events.
Click here to apply for the Junior Docent Program. Applications are open each year from March 1 at 9 a.m. MST. Visit the Events page for the complete program listing.
The potential Junior Docent is expected to complete the application questions and review all of the expectations and mandatory attendance requirements prior to completing the application. This is very popular youth/teen volunteer program! There are more applications received than positions available.
