Labor Day Vintage Base Ball Game

September 02 | 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

The highlight of Labor Day is our annual vintage base ball match between the Camp Creek Cloud Busters (your home team) and the STAR Base Ball Club of Colorado Territory. The Cloud Busters are no “farm team,” but needs your support to cheer them on to victory! The first pitch is at 1:00 p.m.

This game is vintage rules: no  spittin’, no swearin’, no gloves.  “Cranks” (the spectators) can influence the umpire’s call in your team’s favor!

“Base ball is the very symbol of the outward and visible expression of the drive and push of the raging, tearing, booming 19th Century.”

– Mark Twain

Margo’s Vienna will be on site with hot dogs and cold drinks. Picnics are welcome. Popcorn, peanuts, crackerjacks, and chilled old-fashioned sodas, and water will be sold before and during the game. Cash only. Visit the Historic Homes throughout the site and the General Store to pick out a homemade souvenir.

Our tradition to close out summertime!
