Holiday Evening

Rock Ledge Ranch will be transformed with the sights, sounds, and aromas of this traditionally festive season!The evening features: tractor rides, old-time musical entertainment, lantern light tours to the 1860s Homestead Cabin, blacksmith demonstrations, barn dancing, Victorian celebrations in the 1880s Rock Ledge House, and Edwardian festivities in the 1907 Orchard House.St. Nicholas will be in the Carriage House to visit with children and adults. Experience Living History as a Junior Docent at Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site! Junior Docents wear period clothing, demonstrate historic chores, games, and crafts, and interpret the unique history of the Pikes Peak region to visitors from around the world! Basic Blacksmith Workshop

The Basic Blacksmith Workshop will be back for its 15th year! Ranch Manager and Blacksmith, Andy Morris and Don Hanson will conduct three one-day workshops (15 1/2 years and older). These hands-on workshops will include an overview of blacksmith history, tools, techniques and discussions of supplies necessary for starting your own shop.
