Benefit Concert and Auction
Add This Event To Your Calendar

Featuring Chuck Pyle

4:00 PM, 6:00 PM
A suggested donation is $3 is appreciated.

The Silent auction will begin at 4:00 followed by an outdoor concert at 6:00 at the Orchard House lawn by avid musician and songwriter Chuck Pyle. Chuck Pyle has won high praise from both fans and peers alike throughout an inspired performance career of over 40 years. When reviewers first gave him the "Zen Cowboy" moniker, he decided to, as he says, "Always ride the horse in the direction it's going," and took the nickname to heart, blending his upbeat perspective with old-fashioned horse sense. He mixes infectiously hummable melodies with straight-from-the-saddle poetry, quoting bumper stickers, proverbs, world leaders and old cowboys. Additionally, we will be having an auction of handmade and donated items.

At 6:45 there will be a brief intermission for a live auction to be held on stage officiated by Ranch Manager Andy Morris and President Ron Wright, after which Chuck Pyle will return to continue the concert.

Vendors will be on site for your purchase of soft drinks, ice cream, popcorn, hot dogs and other culinary needs.

Thanks goes out to the great Chefs of Club Nine, the same gracious hosts of Fiddles Vittles and Vino, for sponsoring this event.

Labor Day and Vintage Baseball Game
Add This Event To Your Calendar10:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Thanks to the AFL and CIO, today was set aside as a day of rest for everyone who works for a living.

The highlight is our annual vintage base ball match between the Camp Creek Cloud Busters (your home team) and the Colorado Territorial All-Stars from Denver. The Cloud Busters is no “farm team,” but needs your support to cheer them on to another victory! The first pitch will be at 1:00 pm.

The rules are different; no one wears a mitt or glove (except the catcher), and “cranks” (that’s you, the spectators) can influence the umpire’s call in your team’s favor!

Picnics are welcome, but don’t miss the opportunity to sip a cold cream soda or root bear available for purchase at the Heritage Shop. Vendors will be here to supply hotdogs, popcorn and ice cream as well. It may be the end of summer, but not the fun!

Huzzah for the National Game!
